Position Summary
UET Taxila is hiring a Research Assistant for a one-year, HEC-funded project titled “Democratizing Robotics in Pakistan: Design and Development of Multidimensional Robotic Platform for STEM Education.”

Eligibility & Requirements
- Essential Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in:
- Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or Software Engineering.
- Core Skills Required:
- Strong expertise in SolidWorks for designing robotic and mechanical systems.
- Proven ability to create complex, functional, and visually appealing robot designs.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical assemblies, enclosures, linkages, and frames.
- Familiarity with different robot types (e.g., Robotic Arms, Mobile Robots).
- Knowledge of manufacturing techniques, prototyping, and fabrication.
- Understanding of mechanical optimization (stability, weight balance, ergonomics).
- Basic knowledge of URDF (Unified Robot Description Format).
- Familiarity with simulation environments like Ignition, Gazebo, or Webots.
- Ability to collaborate with electronics, AI, and software teams.
- Preferred/Added Advantages:
- Knowledge of ROS (Robot Operating System), AI, and programming.
- Age Limit:21 to 35 years.
