Job Summary
The Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners (PCATP) is hiring for the position of Registrar on a contract basis. This is a senior leadership role based in Islamabad.

Eligibility Criteria
- Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in one of the following fields:
- Architecture
- Urban Planning
- Management
- Law & Policy Making
- Additionally, you must have one of the following undergraduate degrees recognized by the HEC:
- A five-year Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, OR
- A four-year Bachelor’s degree in City/Urban and Regional Planning.
- Professional Membership:
- Must be a registered member of PCATP.
- Experience:
- A minimum of 15 years of administrative/management experience in Government, Semi-Government, or the Private sector.
- Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Higher qualifications.
- Foreign or local training in recognized management courses.
- Experience in legal processes and procedures.
- Age Limit:
- Maximum 55 years old on the closing date of the application (December 05, 2025).
Duties & Responsibilities
The Registrar will have a wide range of regulatory and managerial duties, including:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring entities comply with laws and standards.
- Licensing & Registration: Managing the registration and licensing of architects and town planners, including issuing, renewing, suspending, or revoking licenses.
- Record Management: Overseeing the secure and accurate maintenance of all official records.
- Policy & Strategy: Assisting in developing regulatory policies and ensuring operations align with the council’s strategic goals.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Serving as a link between PCATP, stakeholders, the public, and government bodies.
- Enforcement: Coordinating actions against those who breach regulations.
- Reporting: Preparing reports for internal use and government oversight bodies.
- Financial Management: Managing budgets and procurements for the registrar’s office.
