1. Position Details
- Job Title: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
- Location: Karachi, Sindh
- Basis of Employment: Contractual (Initial period of 1 year, extendable based on performance and company need)
2. Candidate Requirements (Qualifications & Experience)
- Education: Minimum Master’s degree / 16 years of education.
- Core Experience:
- 10-15 years of senior-level experience in project implementation and operations.
- Experience working with Multilateral Donor-Funded Projects.
- Hands-on experience in post-disaster reconstruction and rehabilitation.
- Preferred Experience:
- Public sector experience is an advantage.
- Experience in technology-based projects and MIS-enabled systems is preferred.
3. Key Responsibilities
The COO will be responsible for a wide range of strategic and operational duties, including:
- Assisting the CEO in planning large-scale rehabilitation programs (housing, WASH, infrastructure).
- Providing expert guidance on disaster management and reconstruction.
- Overseeing implementing partners (NGOs/private sector) and all construction activities.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and donor requirements.
- Leading and motivating the operational team.
- Facilitating coordination with the Government of Sindh, donors, and partner organizations.
- Managing monitoring, evaluation, and reporting systems.
