GENCO Holding Company Limited (GHCL) is a company working under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy (GoP), is looking for high caliber energetic, pro-active, result oriented professional to work as Chief Technical Officer to be based at the Head Office in Islamabad as a part of its Senior Management Team, who can take the challenging assignments effectively in the interest of Company. Applications for the position of Chief Technical Officer are invited from suitable candidates on contract basis as per following criteria:-
Summary of Job Posting:
Position: Chief Technical Officer (CTO) – GHCL
Company: GENCO Holding Company Limited (Government of Pakistan entity under Ministry of Energy)
Location: Head Office, Islamabad
Employment Type: Contract (2 years, extendable)
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee operation & maintenance of large power generation plants.
- Demonstrate leadership, change management, and team-building skills.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and market dynamics in power generation.
- Manage corporate social responsibility and stakeholder relationships.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical) with PEC registration. Familiarity with financial data is required.
- Experience: At least 20 years in the Power Generation Sector, including 10 years in Thermal Power Generation. Experience should cover:
- Management of large thermal power plants.
- Generation asset management.
- Dismantling supervision of decommissioned plants.
- Preferred: Master’s in Engineering or MBA from a reputable institute.
Remuneration & Conditions:
- Market-based negotiable salary package.
- Reports to Chief Executive/Managing Director of GHCL.
- Contract basis for 2 years, extendable based on performance.
