Position: Member (Population)
Organization: Planning Commission, Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, Government of Pakistan
Location: Islamabad
Qualifications & Experience:
- D.in Demography / Population Studies / Public Policy / Public Health / Development Studies / Economics / Statistics
- 14 years professional experience, including 5–8 years at managerial/policy-making level in government, international organizations, or development institutions.
- Master’s Degree in the above fields
- 18 years professional experience, including 8–10 years at managerial/policy-making level in relevant organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic oversight on population policy and demographic research.
- Integrate population dynamics with economic planning.
- Coordinate with Ministry of National Health Services, Population Welfare Departments, Bureau of Statistics, and development partners.
- Lead development of a unified National Population Strategy aligned with Vision 2025/2035, SDGs, and 13th Five Years Plan.
- Guide population modelling, demographic projections, and impact assessments.
- Perform other tasks assigned by senior leadership.
Tenure:
- Initially 2 years, extendable annually up to a maximum of 4 years based on performance.
Pay Package:
