CHALLENGING OPPORTUNITY
The Planning Commission is seeking dynamic professional to fill key position in Member (Social Sector & Devolution). He part of a team driving national development and economic transformation.
MEMBER (SOCIAL SECTOR & DEVOLUTION)
QUALIFICATIONS, ELIGIBILITY AND SHORTLISTING CRITERIA:
A Ph.D. or a Master’s degree in Social Sector fields from a reputed HEC-recognized national or international university, with:
- At least 14 years of experience in the relevant field at the policy-making level (for Ph.D. holders), or
- At least 18 years of experience in the relevant field at the policy-making level (for Master’s degree holders).
TERMS OF REFERENCE (TORG) / JOB DESCRIPTION
- Promote and develop social capital (SDGs/Poverty Allocation/Social Harmony) with key stakeholders.
- Prepare effective plans regarding social sector development.
- Analyze the implementation of social sector development plan.
- Organize research studies to disseminate findings and recommendation of the analysis with line ministries and relevant social sector agencies.
- Guide to prepare social projects in regions and sectors lacking adequate portfolio.
- Determine the conditions, keeping in view the current social and political situation, to establish the successful execution of the plan.
- Preparation of implementation plan for short, medium and long term plan
- Coordinate with development partners and assist them in preparation of Pakistan’s specific country strategy in the area of social sectors.
- Participate in CDWP and ECNEC meeting and facilitate forums in approval process of social sector development projects/programmes as sector expert.
- Any other assignment assigned by the Prime Minister, Minister for Planning, DCPC, and Secretary PD&SI.
PAY PACKAGE: SPPS-I SCALE
Tenure: Initially for a period of two (02) years, further extendable on annual (yearly) basis up to a maximum of four (04) years subject to satisfactory performance.
