Minimum Qualification and Experience
General Requirements (All Departments except Fine Arts & Fashion Design)
- PhD in relevant field/discipline or equivalent qualification from an HEC recognized institute/university.
- OR
- MS or M. Phil (1st Division) in relevant subject or equivalent qualification from an HEC recognized institute/university.
- Note: Applicants with a “third division” in their academic career are ineligible.
For Fine Arts & Fashion and Design Only
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
- PhD in relevant field from an HEC recognized institute.
- Foreign Master’s degree or MS/M.Phil (2nd Division) in relevant field + 4 years of teaching/research/professional experience in a recognized post-graduate institute or national/international organization.
- BFA or B. Des (4 years) (1st Division) or equivalent + 6 years of teaching/research/professional experience in a recognized post-graduate institute or national/international organization.
- BFA or B. Des (4 years) (1st Division) or equivalent qualification from an HEC recognized institute.
Important Conditions & Application Process
- How to Apply: Applicants must fill out the online application form at uon.edu.pk.
- Deadline: The last date for online submission is February 25th, 2026.
- Previous Applicants: Candidates who applied against the previous advertisement (IPL No. 2903) in 2025 do not need to apply again.
- In-service Employees: Must apply through the proper channel with an NOC from their current organization.
- Selection: Only short-listed candidates will be called for a test/interview. No TA/DA will be provided.
- University Rights: The University reserves the right not to fill any post or withhold appointments without assigning a reason.
