Applications are invited for the appointment of Legal Advisor
District Council Gujranwala requires the services of hardworking, diligent, and determined lawyers with the following qualifications for appointment on a monthly Retainership fee basis.

The Legal Advisor shall be bound by the following terms and conditions after appointment:
- A monthly Retainership Fee of up to PKR 25,000 will be given, which will not be on a case-to-case basis and will be subject to government approval.
- The appointment of the Legal Advisor will be on a part-time basis for two years, but this appointment can be terminated at any time without notice.
- The Legal Advisor shall be bound to pursue and defend the cases and proceedings of the District Council Gujranwala in the Sessions Court and the High Court.
- The Legal Advisor shall be bound by the Punjab Local Government (Legal Advisor) Rules 2003 and the instructions and existing conditions of the department.
Candidates should send their applications in the name of Chief Officer District Council Gujranwala (Administrator, District Council Gujranwala). A copy of which along with documents should be sent to the Secretary, Department of Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Government of Punjab. The following attested copies of documents should be attached with it:
(i) Photocopy of Identity Card.
(ii) Two recent passport-size photographs.
(iii) Copies of educational qualification certificates and degrees.
(iv) Copy of the license to practice law from the Bar Council.
(v) Certificate of experience of advocacy from the President of the relevant Bar.
Note: The successful candidate’s appointment will be made after verification of all degrees and certificates.
Last Date for Submission of Application
Candidates can submit their applications to the office of the Chief Officer District Council Gujranwala, located near the District Court Gujranwala, by 26.05.2025 during office hours. No TA/DA will be given for the interview. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
