KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE POST OF FACT CHECKER
- Digital Media Monitoring:
- Monitor and analyze information on social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) and digital news outlets related to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
- Develop and fine-tune tracking mechanisms for misinformation and emerging false narratives.
- Fact-Checking & Verification:
- Independently verify claims, statements, and visuals circulating on digital platforms.
- Cross-reference information with credible sources, including official ECP pronouncements, reputable news organizations, and subject matter experts.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare daily and weekly reports on emerging trends in misinformation.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of verified information.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Applicants who apply online through ECP’s Online Recruitment System by visiting the link i.e. www.ecp.gov.pk, must also send hard copy of application within 20 days of this posting of the advertisement in the news papers.
- Applicants who apply through online portal and send hard copy of application will not send hard copy of their applications failing which the candidate will be considered as ineligible.
- Hard copy of application on the following prescribed format along with CV, and all relevant education/experience certificates (including CNIC and one recent passport size photograph) must reach the undersigned within 20 days of this advertisement in the news papers. Incomplete applications or applications received after due date will not be entertained.
- All the interested candidates who apply for the post of Naib Qasid (BS-02) may only submit hard copies of all requisite documents along with application as per instructions mentioned at serial No. 3 above. They are not required to apply online through ECP portal.
- Recruitment Board after scrutiny shall call for test/interview.
- No TA/DA will be admissible to the candidates called for test/interview.
- The applicant is liable to serve anywhere in the country where ECP has offices.
- The ECP reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of vacancies or cancel the recruitment process/allotment at any stage without assigning any reason. This decision will be binding on all.
