Available Positions & Responsibilities
APL is hiring for three distinct “Senior Officer” roles for its new LPG plant. All roles require a hands-on, proactive approach to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
- Senior Officer (Mechanical)
- Core Duty: Maintenance and troubleshooting of all mechanical LPG equipment.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain pumps, compressors, valves, filling machines, and fire-fighting pumps.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime.
- Supervise the maintenance workshop and cylinder filling operations.
- Assist in installing and commissioning new equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and SOPs.
- Keep accurate maintenance records and provide training to junior staff.
- Senior Officer (Chemical)
- Core Duty: Oversee the safe handling and storage of LPG.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain LPG storage tanks, loading/unloading systems, and pipelines.
- Monitor and record system parameters (pressure, temperature, volume).
- Prepare daily progress and sales reports.
- Ensure strict compliance with LPG safety regulations and PPE usage.
- Maintain records and support safety audits.
- Coordinate with HSE, engineering, and operations teams.
- Senior Officer (Electrical/Instrumentation)
- Core Duty: Maintain and calibrate all electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, control valves, DCS, transmitters, and flow meters.
- Maintain LPG cylinder filling/bottling machines.
- Monitor system alarms and data trends.
- Ensure a “flame-proof” culture for all equipment and procedures.
- Periodically check and maintain the plant’s earthing system.
- Assist in system installation, testing, and commissioning.
Qualifications & Requirements (Common to All Positions)
- Education: DAE / B-Tech in the relevant field (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Instrumentation) from an HEC/NTC recognized institution.
- Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting, specifically in an LPG or Petrochemical Plant.
- Skills: Must be well-versed in documentation, reporting, and compliance with safety standards and audits.
