Job Summary: Divisional Head – Law Affairs Division
Company: State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan (SLIC/SLICP)
Position: Divisional Head (Legal Affairs Division) – equivalent to DGM Grade
Location: Principal Office, Karachi
Job Type: Contract (3 years, extendable by mutual consent)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support to all divisions, the Board of Directors, and Senior Management.
- Lead and manage the Legal Services function.
- Draft, review, and finalize agreements, contracts, and MoUs.
- Represent SLIC in court hearings and at government/legal forums.
- Conduct legal research and manage the corporation’s litigation strategy.
- Safeguard the corporation from legal issues and implications.
Requirements:
- Education: LLB (LLM preferred). Must be a registered member of the Pakistan Bar Council.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a Senior Management position or as a prominent practicing lawyer in the relevant field.
- Preference: Given to candidates with institutional experience in Corporate Affairs, Legal Affairs, Compliance, and Risk Management.
- Knowledge: Must be fully aware of Insurance laws and regulations.
- Age Limit: Maximum 45 years (as of the advertisement date). Age relaxation is possible for highly qualified/experienced candidates per SLIC rules.
