Role Overview:
The COO will be responsible for leading all operated assets, field development, and production operations. The primary goal is to drive safe, efficient strategies to optimize output, manage risks, and ensure compliance. This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the Managing Director/CEO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead asset managers to achieve financial and operational targets.
- Direct petroleum engineering for reservoir management, development planning, and implementing new technologies.
- Oversee drilling, completion, and well testing operations.
- Develop and execute strategies to efficiently develop discoveries and mitigate risks.
- Formulate strategic goals and work programs to improve output and manage aging fields.
- Safeguard company interests in joint venture/partner-operated areas.
- Ensure all project execution meets quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) standards.
- Represent the company at industry and regulatory forums.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: A 4-year bachelor’s or master’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, or a related engineering field from a reputable university recognized by the HEC.
- Experience:Minimum of 25 years in production/drilling operations, project execution, and portfolio/asset management.
- Management Experience: At least 8 years in a management position within a Hydrocarbon & Petroleum (H&P) company.
