The Aga Khan Education Service, Pakistan (part of the Aga Khan Development Network) is hiring for two educational positions based in Gilgit-Baltistan.

1. Academic Coordinator for Mathematics

• Location: Gilgit-Baltistan
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop student assessment items.
  • Maintain high academic standards and a positive learning environment.
  • Support and guide classroom instruction.
  • Improve the teaching and learning process.
  • Facilitate teachers’ professional development.
• Qualifications & Experience:
  • Education:15 years of education with a specialization in Mathematics.
  • Preferred: A professional degree (M.Ed./B.Ed.).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at a reputable institution.
• Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in Mathematics content knowledge.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is desirable.
  • ICT integration skills for teaching/learning are desirable.

2. AKU-EB Curriculum Support Specialist for Physics

• Location: Gilgit-Baltistan
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Senior Manager in implementing AKU-EB school development plans.
  • Improve student and teacher performance.
  • Develop plans for improving assessment and evaluation.
• Qualifications & Experience:
  • Education:16 years of education with a specialization in Physics.
  • Preferred: A professional degree (M.Ed./B.Ed.).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at a reputable institution.
• Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in Physics content knowledge.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is desirable.
  • ICT integration skills for teaching/learning are desirable.
