Our client, the owner of one of the country’s largest energy infrastructures, is seeking a Chief Executive to lead a diverse asset base that includes critical marine facilities, terminals, pipelines, and a distillation unit, all strategically located in major demand centers. This joint venture, backed by the country’s largest oil companies, aims to be a key growth enabler in the energy industry. The Chief Executive will report directly to the Board and will be instrumental in shaping the company’s long-term strategy, business plans, capital allocation, governance, and organizational culture.
The role demands world-class leadership in Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) within a challenging energy landscape. The Chief Executive will oversee the company’s operational and financial performance, ensuring the execution of a long-term growth plan. Key responsibilities include engaging with regulatory and industry stakeholders to enhance asset utilization, securing necessary approvals, and driving long-term growth through strategic investment and business planning. Collaboration with pipeline operators to optimize cost, security, and efficiency, as well as implementing advanced monitoring and safety systems, will be critical. Additionally, the Chief Executive will represent the company at industry forums and international conferences.
Candidates must hold a university degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or Finance, with at least 16 years of education and a minimum of 25 years of professional experience, including 8–10 years in senior roles within the energy, chemical, power, or related process industries. A deep understanding of the country’s supply dynamics, pricing, and regulatory environment is essential, along with experience in Board and shareholder matters. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategic planning, operational excellence, and asset integrity, coupled with strong commercial acumen, financial expertise, and exceptional communication skills.
