JOIN PAKISTAN ARMY MEDICAL CORPS AS ‘M’ CADET

QUALIFICATION

• Final Year MBBS Students of PMC/PMDC recognized medical colleges

CATEGORY OF SELECTION

• M Cadet:
  1. After enrollment, ‘M’ Cadets will continue their studies in their respective Medical Colleges for completion of Medical graduation.
  2. On successful completion of Medical education and basic military training, ‘M’ Cadet will be commissioned in the Army Medical Corps as Captain.

STIPEND

• Selected Cadets will be entitled to receive Rs. 18,583/- as monthly stipend.
• After getting commission in Army Medical Corps as Captain, ‘M’ Cadets will be entitled to receive a lump sum amount not exceeding Rs 222,996 per annum as reimbursement of expenditures incurred on their Medical education prior to joining the scheme.

1. ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS

• AGE: (as on 1 Jun 2025): 20 to 26 Years
• GENDER: Male
• MARITAL STATUS: Unmarried
• NATIONALITY: Citizen of Pakistan and domicile holders of Azad Jammu & Kashmir. Candidates with dual nationality will have to surrender nationalities other than Pakistani.
• PHYSICAL STANDARDS:
  • Minimum Height: 5′ 4″ (162.5 cm)
  • Weight: As per Body Mass Index

2. INELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS

• A candidate is ineligible if he/she is:
  • Twice rejected by ISSB for Post Graduate Entry
  • Twice rejected by ISSB for Intermediate Graduate
  • PMA/Graduate/Equivalent and once rejected by ISSB or GHQ/NHQ/AHQ based selection boards.
  • Once rejected by ISSB for Intermediate Graduate
  • PMA/Graduate/Equivalent and twice rejected by ISSB or GHQ/NHQ/AHQ based selection boards.
  • Twice not recommended for ‘M’ Cadet by GHQ/NHQ/AHQ Selection Boards
  • Twice screened out by ISSB
  • Dismissed/removed/debarred from Govt. Services including Armed Forces
  • Convicted in a Court of Law for any heinous offense to be ascertained by competent military authority
  • Permanently declared UNFIT by Appeal Medical Board (AMB)
  • Declared medically unfit due to Hepatitis B&C. Appeal Medical Board cannot be requested.
  • Withdrawn from any bonded Armed Forces & college/institution on disciplinary grounds
  • SCHEDULE OF REGISTRATION/PRELIMINARY TESTS
  • Withdrawn/discharged/resigned or purchased of commission from any Armed Forces Academy/Training Institution of Armed Forces on any ground
  • Tampering of academic certificates/forgery/concealment to get undue advantage will make an applicant permanently ineligible for all types of commission in Armed Forces.

3. REGISTRATION AND PRELIMINARY TESTS – SELECTION PROCEDURE

• Candidates can register either through the internet on website www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk or by visiting nearest Army Selection and Recruitment Centers (AS&RCs)
• REGISTRATION AT ARMY SELECTION AND RECRUITMENT CENTERS (AS&RCs):
  • Candidates may report at the following AS&RCs for registration/allotment of roll no. along with necessary documents mentioned in para 4 for completion of registration formalities.
  • Candidates will bring these documents on the day of test as well.

  • REGISTRATION THROUGH INTERNET:
    • A candidate can also register on the website www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk
    • Date and time of test shall be intimated on the internet, for which the individual should have an e-mail account. Candidates will report on the exact date and time given for a preliminary test on the computerized roll no. slip. Date once given will not be changed. Candidates will bring along documents mentioned in para 4. Candidates must attain working knowledge of computer registration and test will be conducted on computer.
  • SCHEDULE OF REGISTRATION/PRELIMINARY TESTS:
    • Registration and Preliminary tests will be held at AS&RCs as per the following schedule:
      • Registration: 26 Jun – 19 Jul 2025
      • Preliminary Tests: 21-25 Jul 2025

PHYSICAL TEST

• (1) 1.6 KM Run: 8 1/2 minutes
• (2) Push Ups: 15 repetitions in 2 minutes
• (3) Sit Ups: 15 repetitions in 2 minutes
• (4) Chin Ups: 2 repetitions in 2 minutes
• (5) Ditch Crossing: 7′ 4″ x 7′ 4″ with a depth of 4 feet

PRELIMINARY MEDICAL TEST

• Initial medical tests at AS&RCs

4 – DOCUMENTS REQUIRED AT AS&RCS

• 2x attested photocopies of educational and domicile certificates
• 2x attested photocopies of Computerized National Identity Card (Form B) of the individual and his next of kin issued by NADRA
• 4 x attested passport-size photographs
• Candidates may deposit Rs 1000 in Account Title: Medical Endowment Account-Medical Directorate GHQ Rawalpindi Account No. 0281000212837 Askari Bank GHQ Branch Rawalpindi and affix original deposit slip with the application form.

5. FURTHER SELECTION

• Shortlisted candidates will receive notice for intelligence/personality tests by AS&RCs and for interviews by the GHQ Selection Board at their nearest stations through website call up letter.
• Medical Fitness of candidates who are selected in the final interview shall be carried out at the nearest CMHs.
• Final selection will be made at GHQ on the basis of candidate’s overall performance in tests/interviews.
• On the successful completion of his Medical education and basic military training, the ‘M’ Cadet will be commissioned in the Army Medical Corps as Captain.

6. 6. BASIC MILITARY TRAINING

• 22 weeks Basic Military Training (BMT) at Pakistan Military Academy, Abbottabad within one month after passing MBBS

7. 7. BOND

• Finally selected candidates will be required to sign a bond to serve the Army Medical Corps for a minimum of six years after passing MBBS.
