Recruitment Process
The process has two stages:
- Stage 1:Screening of applications based on the advertised criteria.
- Stage 2:An Aptitude Test and a Competency-Based Interview.
Each stage is designed to be objective, fair, and transparent.
Key Terms & Conditions
- Contract: Successful candidates will be offered a contract for up to three years.
- TA/DA: No travel or daily allowance will be provided for the test/interview.
- TADA: Selected candidates will be entitled to TADA (Travel and Daily Allowance) as per government rules during service.
- Shortlisting: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
Syllabus & Test Marks Distribution (Total 40 Marks per Post)
The written test will focus on two main areas for all posts:
1. Common Subject for All Posts (Marks Vary)
- Law Enforcement & Criminal Justice System: Covering the FIR Act 2013, specific chapters of Police Rules 1934, and various detection methods (HUMINT, Digital Data, Forensics, Interrogation, Polygraph test).
2. Role-Specific Subjects
- For Cyber Terrorism Investigating Officer (CTIO):
- Cyber Crime Act (PECA) 2016, Digital Forensics, Cyber Security.
- MS Office skills.
- Detection via Data Extraction, OSINT, Data Mining, and analysis of digital evidence (CCTV, social media).
- For Terrorism Financing Investigating Officer (TFIO):
- Anti-Money Laundering Act 2010, Anti-Terrorism Act 1997, Banking laws.
- MS Office skills.
- Tracking money trails (banking & non-banking channels), working with FMU reports, collaboration with other agencies, investigating Hawala/Hundi.
- Includes an English Essay
- For Surveillance & Intelligence Officer (SIO):
- Cyber Crime Act (PECA) 2016.
- Intelligence gathering via OSINT and advanced Crime Mapping (CM)using GIS tools (like Arc GIS).
- Duties include data correlation, maintaining indexes of criminals and their methods, and publishing official gazettes (Daily Crime Gazette and Weekly Intelligence Gazette).
