STUATION VACANT
Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the following vacant technical posts in the Directorate General, Ports & Shipping (DG-P&S) Wing, Karachi and Mercantile Marine Department, Karachi. The appointment shall be made on contract basis as per MP Scale Policy 2020 for a period of three years, which will be extendable for a maximum period of two (02) years on annual basis subject to satisfactory performance to be evaluated by the Performance Evaluation Committee:

| 01 | Principal Officer Mercantile Marine Department, Karachi (Pay Scale-MP-II) (01 Post) | a) Certificate of Competency as First Class Engineer (Combined or Motor). b) At least three years as Chief Engineer of ships not less than 373 BHP or Two years for Candidates holding Extra-First Class Engineer’s Certificate. c) At least three years experience in any of one of the following capacities: i) Engineer and Ship Surveyor (or equivalent post) in any Mercantile Marine Department of a country. d) Preferably at least two years’ experience as Examiner of Marine Engineers. a) Certificate of Competency as Master of a Foreign Going Ships. b) At least three years in command of ships or Two years for candidates holding Extra Master Certificate / B.Sc (Technology in Maritime Studies). c) At least three years’ experience in any one of the following capacities: i) Nautical Surveyor (or equivalent post) in any Mercantile Marine Department of a country. ii) Surveyor in a recognized classification society. d) Preferably at least two years experience as Examiner of Master and Mates. |

Pay and allowances & other facilities shall be permissible under the MP Scale Policy, 2020 as approved by the Government from time to time.

Applications along-with complete C.V attested copies of testimonials, and three latest passport size photographs should reach the undersigned on the address mentioned below, within 15 days of publication of this advertisement. However, the shortlisted candidates would be required to bring original documents including CNIC, educational certificates and required experience certificates at the time of interview.
