POSITION IN INSURANCE SECTOR
National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) is a large public sector organization and a key player in the General Insurance sector. We are seeking to induct a qualified and dynamic professional for the following position:
Chief Investment Officer (CIO)

- Age: Maximum 50 Years
- Location: Head Office, Karachi
Role Overview: As CIO, you will be responsible for overseeing the company’s investment portfolio, leading the investment team, and developing strategies that align with our long-term financial goals. This executive role requires a seasoned finance professional with deep knowledge of global markets, asset management, risk assessment, and portfolio diversification.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
- Preference will be given to candidates having experience in dealing with renowned international investment and financial institutions.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in investment management, asset allocation, or related areas within the finance industry.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale investment portfolios with strong performance results.
- Deep understanding of capital markets, alternative investments, risk management, and financial modeling.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- CFA, actuarial qualification, or other relevant certification is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive investment strategy aligned with the company’s goals and risk appetite.
- Oversee all investment activities, including portfolio construction, performance monitoring, and asset allocation.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of investment professionals.
- Monitor economic, market, and industry trends to inform investment decisions.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal governance policies.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to shape corporate financial strategy.
- Present regular investment reports and strategic updates to the Board of Directors.
Mode of Employment:
- This is purely a contractual position and is equivalent to the post of General Manager with an open-ended contract.
- Compensation: Between PKR 400,000 and 600,000, plus perks and benefits equivalent to GM.
