Position in Insurance Sector
National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) is a large public sector organization and a key player in the General Insurance sector. We are seeking to induct qualified and dynamic professionals for the following position:
Chief Internal Auditor Age: Maximum 50 Years (1 Vacancy)
Eligibility Criteria:
As per Schedule-I of State Owned Enterprises (C-Level Appointments) Guidelines 2024, the ideal candidate must be a member of a recognized body of professional accountants having qualification of CA/CPA/ACMA/ACCA/MBA(Finance) from reputed local or international University / Institute with at least five (05) years relevant experience, in auditing and risk management, designing of internal control procedures, effective compliance of financial reliability in public/private sector with understanding of governance, risks and risks controls especially in SOE or public sector projects.
The potential candidate shall meet the requirements of fit and proper criteria specified in Section 16 and Schedule-IV of the SOE Act, 2023.
The candidate must possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
The position reports to the Board’s Audit Committee and will lead the internal audit function at NICL. The Chief Internal Auditor (CIA) will ensure effective internal controls, compliance with laws, and sound risk management. The role includes planning and conducting audits, identifying gaps, supporting investigations, and improving processes. The CIA will also help strengthen governance and promote transparency, accountability, and efficiency across the organization. The CIA will also be responsible for any duties as prescribed under the Code of Corporate Governance for Insurers 2016, SOE Act 2023 and any other rules, regulations, laws alongwith other responsibilities assigned by the Board.
Mode of Employment:
This is purely a contractual position with an open-ended contract; the services will be governed by the terms and conditions of the contract.
The selected candidate will be paid a competitive market-based compensation package backed by attractive salary, to be mutually decided in interview commensurate with relevant verifiable experience.
