Our reputable MEDIA CLIENT is looking for:

1) Composer

• The role involves typing, formatting, and proofreading Urdu content using InPage.
• Responsibilities include entering handwritten or editorial content, managing file versions, creating headlines, and assisting with layout preparation for print.
• Requirements:
  • Proficiency in InPage Urdu typing and page-making
  • Accuracy under deadlines
  • Familiarity with editorial workflows
  • Flexibility in rotational shifts
  • Media or newsroom experience preferred

2) Headline Designer

• The role involves designing strong, typographically sound headlines for both print and digital editions.
• Responsibilities include working closely with editors to develop visually impactful, brand-consistent headline treatments.
• Requirements:
  • Expertise in typography, layout, spacing, and color theory
  • Skilled in InPage and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong eye for balance, clarity, and design consistency
  • Receptive to feedback and editorial direction
  • Comfortable with rotational shifts
  • Bonus skills in marketing layout or Urdu composition

3) Page-Maker

• The role involves building visually clean and structured page layouts using InPage, InDesign, or QuarkXPress.
• Responsibilities include inserting headlines, text, images, captions, and advertisements in accordance with newspaper layout standards.
• Requirements:
  • Accuracy in formatting, spacing, and alignment
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Coordination with editorial teams
  • Flexibility to compose text or create headlines if required
  • Rotational shift availability
  • Experience in a newsroom or publishing environment preferred

4) Translator

• The role involves translating advertising content across Urdu, English, and Sindhi for display ads, public notices, classified ads, legal notices and tenders.
• Responsibilities include focus on linguistic accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and formatting precision.
• Requirements:
  • Strong written command of Urdu, English, and Sindhi
  • Experience in ad/public/legal content translation
  • Attention to grammar, tone, and terminology
  • Familiarity with InPage, MS Word, PDF tools, and ad booking systems
  • Knowledge of legal/tender publishing norms
  • Available for all shifts

5) Graphic Designer

• The role involves designing infographics, layouts, and advertisements for print newspapers.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with editorial and marketing teams to maintain visual consistency and ensure high-quality, print-ready output.
• Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Understanding of newspaper layout standards and print specs
  • Strong visual sense and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks
  • Shift flexibility required

6) Proofreader

• The role involves reviewing all incoming advertisement content to ensure accuracy in language, formatting, and layout before publishing.
• Responsibilities include catching typographical errors and verifying ad compliance with legal and editorial standards.
• Requirements:
  • Excellent command of Urdu, English, and Sindhi
  • Strong grammar, spelling, and formatting skills
  • Experience in proofreading classified and legal ads
  • Familiarity with InPage, MS Word, PDF markup tools, and ad booking systems
  • Knowledge of legal ad requirements and publication policies
  • Ability to work under pressure and in rotating shifts

7) Creative Assistant

• The role involves designing marketing dummies, supplements, classified ad layouts, and infographics to support editorial and promotional content.
• Responsibilities include contributing to both creative page design and routine composition tasks as needed.
• Requirements:
  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and InPage
  • Strong understanding of print layout and visual consistency
  • Ability to handle multiple design tasks under deadlines
  • Willingness to compose headlines, assist with routine pages, or text when assigned
  • Must be available for all shifts
