Pakistan Ordnance Factories Announces Job Openings

The Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) Board, under the Ministry of Defence Production, has announced numerous job opportunities at its facilities in Wah Cantt, Havelian Cantt, and Sanjwal Cantt. These positions are offered on a contract basis for an initial period of two years, with the possibility of extension based on performance. The deadline for online applications is August 10, 2025.

Available Positions:

A wide range of positions are available, from specialist medical roles to technical and administrative staff. Key vacancies include:

• Medical Staff:

  • Specialist (Emergency Medicine & Urologist) (BPS-18): Requires an MBBS, a relevant postgraduate diploma (FCPS/Lower Diploma), and three years of post-qualification experience.

  • Medical Officer (BPS-17): An MBBS degree recognized by PMDC is required.

  • MRI Tech (BPS-16): Requires a BS (Hon) in Medical Imaging Technology.

  • Midwife (BPS-6): Candidates must be a Registered Midwife, Grade ‘B’ Nurse, or Lady Health Visitor.

• Technical and Engineering Staff:

  • Assistant Manager (Technical, Chemical, Admin) (BPS-17): Requires a BSc in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, etc.), Chemical Technology, or an MBA/MPA/MA in a relevant field.

  • Assistant Programmer (BPS-17): A 16-year degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering is necessary.

  • Technical Officer (Boiler) (BPS-16): Requires a Diploma of Associate Engineering in a relevant technology and a Class-I Boiler Certificate.

  • Chargeman (Chemical, Engineering, Civil, Fire Fighting) (BPS-12): Qualifications range from a BSc with Chemistry to a Diploma of Associate Engineering in various fields.

  • Draughtsman (BPS-10): Requires Matric with a two-year certificate course in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Draughtsmanship.

• Administrative and Support Staff:

  • U.D.C (BPS-11): Intermediate with a typing speed of 30 w.p.m.

  • LDC (BPS-9): Matric with a typing speed of 30 w.p.m.

  • Godown Keeper (BPS-7): Matriculation is required.

  • Security Guard (BPS-5): Open to ex-servicemen with a Middle Pass.

  • Civilian Motor Driver (BPS-4): Requires a Middle Pass and an HTV license.

  • Labourer-I & II, and other support staff (BPS 1-3): Qualifications range from Primary to Matric.
