Job Summary: Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at PITC
Company: Power Information Technology Company (PITC) – A government-affiliated IT support provider for Pakistan’s Power Sector (DISCOS, GENCOs, NTDC).
Position: Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)
Location: Primarily Lahore, but may require service anywhere in Pakistan.
Job Type: 3-year contract (extendable based on performance and requirement).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee the company’s enterprise-wide information security strategy.
- Ensure compliance with national regulations, government directives, and international cybersecurity standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Foster a strong culture of security awareness across the organization.
- Report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Requirements:
- Academic Qualifications:
- Minimum 16 years of education in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a relevant ICT Engineering field from an HEC-recognized or international reputable university.
- Must have at least one top professional certification: CISSP, CCISO, CEH, or a PhD in Information Security.
- Preferable: Sector-specific certifications like CCSP, SANS SEC-540, ICS/SCADA 410, or PCI-DSS.
- Experience:
- Option A:7+ years of relevant experience (with a Master’s degree), including 3-5 years in a senior security leadership role.
- Option B:10+ years of relevant experience (with a Bachelor’s degree), including 3-5 years in a senior security leadership role.
- Proven experience in designing and managing cybersecurity programs (e.g., GRC, SOC, Security Testing, Digital Forensics).
- Hands-on experience with compliance frameworks like GDPR, NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, etc.
- Knowledge & Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of security governance, risk management, and incident response.
- Strong understanding of security technologies (XDR, SIEM, SOAR, NGFW, EDR, etc.) and cloud security.
- Awareness of generative AI security risks.
- Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with national and international cybersecurity policies.
