APPOINTMENT OF 1x SPECIAL PROSECUTOR ON CONTRACT BASIS

Regional Directorate Anti Narcotics Force Sindh requires the services of energetic and hardworking advocate for lower courts and High Court at Sukkur station as Special Public prosecutor purely on contract basis for contesting the cases of ANF and for rendition of legal advice/Opinion to the department. Detail is as under:-

ANALYSIS OF THE ANNOUNCEMENT:

This is a job advertisement for the appointment of a Special Public Prosecutor on a contract basis for the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), Sindh Regional Directorate, based in Sukkur.

Key Responsibilities:

• Appear and conduct legal proceedings in various courts (Special CNS Courts, Anti-Smuggling Courts, Tribunals, Appellate Courts, High Court, Supreme Court) on behalf of ANF.
• Cases will primarily involve:
  • Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA), 1997
  • Prevention of Smuggling Act, 1977
  • Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA), 2010
  • Service matters and other relevant laws.
• Provide legal advice and opinions to the ANF department.
• Critical Restriction: The appointed prosecutor must not appear as a defense counsel against ANF in any case during or likely after the contract period.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be a citizen of Pakistan.
• Must be an enrolled Advocate of the High Court with a valid license.
• Preference will be given to those with 05 years of experience as an Advocate High Court.
• Must have practicing experience, preferably in CNSA, drug/criminal cases, PSA, AMLA, and service matters.
• Special preference for those with experience handling government/organization cases.
• Must have knowledge of psychotropic substances, UN conventions/ANF Schedules, and assets cases under CNSA/AMLA.
• Not eligible: Former ANF contract lawyers whose contract was terminated or who resigned.
• Must have a clean professional record(no misconduct, conviction for moral turpitude, dismissal from government service, or insolvency).
• Must have a permanent residence and office in Sukkur.

Selection Process:

• Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
• Shortlisting will be based on qualifications and experience(especially in Narcotics/Assets/Service Matters).
• Selection will be purely on merit.
