Reko Diq Mining Company, operated by Barrick and a joint venture with the Government of Balochistan, is focused on the responsible development and operation of its world-class mining project – the Reko Diq copper-gold mine in Balochistan.
Position: Procurement Lead
Department: Supply Chain
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Procurement or Supply Chain Management.
Experience: 10 years of experience in a senior procurement role, preferably in the mining or construction industry.
Responsibilities:
- Managing and coordinating all procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies and policies to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, and building strong relationships with key vendors.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and ethical standards.
- Managing the procurement budget and tracking expenses.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure timely and effective procurement of goods and services.
- Mentoring and training procurement staff.
Position: Contract Lead
Department: Supply Chain
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Law (Commercial/Contract Management).
Experience: 10-15 years of experience in contract management, preferably in the mining or construction industry.
Responsibilities:
- Leading the development, negotiation, and management of complex contracts.
- Ensuring that all contracts are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Providing legal advice and guidance to the project team on contract-related matters.
- Managing contract disputes and resolving conflicts.
- Developing and implementing contract management policies and procedures.
- Maintaining accurate contract documentation.
- Mentoring and training contract management staff.
Position: Assistant Community Liaison Officer
Department: Community
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or related field.
Experience: 3 years of experience in community engagement or related field, preferably in the mining or construction industry.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the implementation of the company’s community engagement strategy.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with local communities.
- Facilitating communication and consultation between the company and local communities.
- Addressing community concerns and grievances.
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of community engagement programs.
- Preparing reports and presentations on community engagement activities.
Position: Supervisor Mine Maintenance
Department: Maintenance
Qualification: Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 10+ years experience in heavy industrial plant maintenance, preferably performed in the mining or construction industry.
Responsibilities:
- Leading a team of maintenance technicians in the repair and maintenance of mining equipment and infrastructure.
- Developing and implementing maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Ensuring that all maintenance work is performed safely and efficiently.
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex maintenance problems.
- Managing the maintenance budget and tracking expenses.
- Ordering and managing spare parts inventory.
- Mentoring and training maintenance staff.
Position: Data Analyst and Systems Specialist
Department: Supply Chain
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology or a related field.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in data analysis and systems management, preferably in the mining or construction industry.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing supply chain data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Developing and implementing data-driven solutions to optimize supply chain performance.
- Managing and maintaining supply chain systems and databases.
- Creating reports and dashboards to track supply chain performance.
- Collaborating with other departments to gather and analyze data.
- Training users on supply chain systems and tools.
Position: Site Facilities Coordinator
Department: Site Services
Qualification: Diploma/Degree in relevant field.
Experience: 5 years relevant experience with site management in a remote field site.
Responsibilities:
- Managing and coordinating all site facilities activities, including accommodation, catering, transportation, and security.
- Ensuring that site facilities are maintained to a high standard.
- Managing the site facilities budget and tracking expenses.
- Developing and implementing site facilities policies and procedures.
- Supervising site facilities staff.
- Coordinating with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the site.
Position: Exploration Geologist
Department: Geology
Qualification: Bachelor of Science degree in Geology (Honours degree desirable).
Experience: 8-10 years relevant experience in exploration geology, preferably in the mining industry, with experience in drill planning, execution, data acquisition, geological interpretation and modelling.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and executing exploration programs.
- Collecting and analyzing geological data.
- Interpreting geological data to identify potential mineral deposits.
- Developing geological models.
- Preparing reports and presentations on exploration results.
- Managing exploration budgets and resources.
- Supervising exploration staff.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
- Managing drill programs including planning, execution, supervision and data acquisition.
- Supervising geological technicians and field assistants.
- Maintaining accurate geological records and databases.
- Strong competency in geological software packages (e.g. Leapfrog, ArcGIS, ioGAS) and knowledge relating to QAQC protocols.
