POSITION VACANT

The School Education Department, Government of Balochistan, is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and result-oriented professional to lead foreign-funded education sector projects across Balochistan as Project Director, PMU- Balochistan Education Support Programme/GRADES-B & STEP-B comprising foreign-funded projects, technical and specialized programs. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to transforming the province’s education landscape through strategic planning, effective implementation, and stakeholder engagement. The position will be filled initially on a one-year contract, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project duration.

Position: Project Director (PPS-09) – Balochistan Education Support Programme/GRADES-B & STEP-B

Number of Posts: 01

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage foreign-funded education sector projects across Balochistan.
• Oversee strategic planning, implementation, stakeholder engagement, and transformation of the province’s education landscape.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or equivalent (16 years of education) in Project Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field from an HEC-recognized university.
• Higher qualifications (MPA, MBA, MPhil, or foreign degrees) are an advantage.

2. Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience in project planning/management, public/district administration, education, or the development sector.
• Proven expertise in:
  • Project planning, implementation, and financial management
  • Budgeting, monitoring & evaluation, and procurement (especially for foreign-funded projects and BPPRA)
  • ICT innovations, data management, and digital solutions for education
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
• Strong knowledge of Balochistan’s education sector, governance, and financial systems.
• Preference given to candidates with experience in foreign donor-funded projects.

3. Age Limit: 40–62 years

Contract Details:

• Initial one-year contract, extendable based on performance and project duration.
