Position Summary
The Government of Sindh is seeking a highly qualified and dynamic individual for the position of Vice Chancellor at the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (SBBUVAS), Sakrand.

Eligibility Criteria (Must Meet One of the Following)
Category 1: Academic Leader
- Qualification: D. in Veterinary/Basic Sciences or Animal Sciences from an HEC-recognized institution.
- Registration: Must be a registered member of the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council.
- Experience: Minimum 20 years of experience, including 10 years in a senior administrative role (e.g., VC, Pro-VC, Dean, Chairman, Registrar, Principal) in a university or BPS-17/equivalent or above in a public/private organization.
Category 2: Senior Bureaucrat
- Profile: A cadre officer (e.g., PAS, PSS, PMS) in BPS-21 or above.
- Qualification: Must hold a DVM degree and a Master’s degree from an HEC-recognized institution.
Category 3: Distinguished Professional
- Qualification: Master’s degree (Ph.D. preferred) in a relevant field.
- Experience:15 years of leadership experience in academia, research, or civil society.
- Research Record: Distinguished research profile with at least 10 publications in HEC-recognized journals.
General Conditions for All Candidates:
- Age Limit: Must not be more than 62 years old on the application deadline.
- Government Officers: If selected, cadre officers must resign or retire from their current service.

The Vice Chancellor will be responsible for:
- Promoting quality education and research & development projects.
- Establishing national and international linkages with industries and institutions.
- Planning a sustainable business model for the university.
- Gathering and analyzing data for research and policy-making.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong ability to collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data.
- Understanding of financial matters and budget mechanisms.
