APPOINTMENT OF VICE CHANCELLOR
SHAHEED BENAZIR BHUTTO UNIVERSITY OF VETERINARY & ANIMAL SCIENCES, SAKRAND, SHAHEED BENAZIRABAD
The Government of Sindh invites applications from renowned academicians, accomplished and motivated academic leaders, and dynamic professionals with strong managerial and financial leadership skills for the position of Vice Chancellor, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Sakrand.

Appointing Authority: Government of Sindh, Universities & Boards Department
Key Eligibility Criteria (Candidates must fall into one of three categories):
- Academic Professionals:
- D. in Veterinary/Animal/Basic Sciences from an HEC-recognized institution.
- Qualified to be a Professor per HEC criteria.
- Registered with the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council.
- Minimum 20 years’ experience, including 10 years in senior administrative/academic roles (e.g., VC, Dean, Registrar).
- Cadre Officers:
- BPS-21 or above officer (PAS, PSS, etc.).
- Must hold a DVM degree and a Master’s degree from an HEC-recognized institution.
- Must resign or retire from service upon selection.
- Professionals from Academia/Civil Society/Research:
- Master’s degree (Ph.D. preferred) in a relevant field.
- 15 years of experience in relevant sectors.
- At least 10 publications in HEC-recognized journals.
- Age Limit: Not more than 62 years on the application deadline.
Term: 4 years, extendable for another 4-year term.
Responsibilities: Include promoting quality education, strengthening research, establishing industry linkages, developing a sustainable business model, and overseeing research for policy development.
Required Skills: Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and financial management skills.
