Job Summary
The University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Taxila, is hiring for a single, project-based position funded by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). The role is for a Research Assistant to work on a project titled “Democratizing Robotics in Pakistan: Design and Development of Multidimensional Robotic Platform for STEM Education.”
Position Details

- Duration: The position is for the duration of the HEC-funded project.
- Pay Package: 100,000 – 120,000 per month
- Age Limit:35 years
Eligibility & Requirements
Required Qualification:
- A Bachelor’s degree (BS/BSc) in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or Software Engineering.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong skills in designing robotic and mechanical systems.
- Proven experience in creating complex, creative, and visually appealing robot designs.
- Familiarity with manufacturing techniques, prototyping, and fabrication.
- Proficiency in mechanical CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360).
- Knowledge of mechanical optimization principles (stability, weight balance, aerodynamics).
- Basic knowledge of URDF (Unified Robot Description Format).
- Familiarity with simulation environments like Ignition Gazebo, Webots, or MuJoCo.
- Ability to collaborate with electronics, AI, and software teams.
Preferred/Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of ROS (Robot Operating System), AI, and programming will be a significant advantage.
