Job Description & Key Responsibilities
The General Manager (Security) will be responsible for the overall security of WAPDA’s installations and projects. Key duties include:
- Leading WAPDA’s entire security setup.
- Coordinating with Law Enforcement Agencies and project authorities to develop security strategies and SOPs.
- Managing the security force, including its training and the procurement of weapons/equipment.
- Serving as the ex-officio Director General of the WAPDA Security Force as per the WAPDA Security Force Act, 2025.
- Liaising with government departments to protect WAPDA property from encroachment and other threats.
Required Qualification & Experience
- Must be a retired Brigadier(or equivalent rank) from the Armed Forces.
- Preference will be given to officers from a fighting arm.
- Must have command experience in an operational area, specifically in counter-terrorism operations (at the rank of Lt. Col. or Brigadier).
- Must be a graduate of the Pakistan Staff College.
Age Limit, Tenure & Application Quota
- Maximum Age:55 years
- Tenure: The appointment is on a 3-year contract (extendable based on performance).
- Quota: Open Merit
